For law firms

Legal answering service and client intake for law firms

Refo is a legal answering service and intake desk for small and mid-size law firms. We answer every call, text and web inquiry 24/7, run intake with your questions, collect the names your team needs for a conflict check, book consultations into your calendar, send engagement letters for e-signature, and follow up on unpaid invoices. We never give legal advice. Behind the desk, we keep your books, including trust account records, and your IT.

Questions

Common questions

Do you give legal advice to callers?

No. We take intake, answer questions about your firm from information you approve, and book consultations. Legal questions go to your attorneys.

How do you handle conflict checks?

We collect the names of the parties and send them to your team. Your firm runs the conflict check and decides whether to book the consultation.

Who sees intake details?

Only your team. Intake details are kept in your systems and ours and are not shared with anyone else.

Which software do you work with?

Your case management software and calendar where they give us access. We confirm the setup during the test.

Can you keep our trust account books?

Our bookkeepers keep trust account records in your software, ready for review. Your attorneys remain responsible for the trust account under your state's rules.
